James Rodriguez’s time at Everton is over. The Colombian midfielder wasn’t included in Rafa Benitez’s plans and signed for Al Ryyan from Qatar.
The former Real Madrid player wanted to say goodbye to the ‘Toffees’ with an Instagram post. The attacking midfielder also wanted to manifest that his will was to stay at Goodison Park.
Many were the teams interested in James’ signing, but in the end, the midfielder chose to start a new adventure in Qatar. According to multiple sources, his experience in Qatar would only be a previous step to sign for PSG next season.
This is what the post says: “I want to thank my teammates, who welcomed me well, I wish them the best and I also want to thank Everton fans. A pity not to have played in Goodison Park with you, it would have been very nice. I always tried to give my best and I always wanted to win , that is my mentality. I wish you all the best. JR10”.
