In what could go down as the wildest transfer window in recent football history, global superstars of the game are all seemingly on their ways out of their clubs.
After Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe could also be on their way out.
According to Sky Sports News, Juventus have already begun searching for replacements for Ronaldo, and Barcelona have reportedly offered Antoine Greizmann’s services to them.
Reliable journalist Ginaluca Di Marzio, however, states that Juventus have discarded the possibility of signing Griezmann from Barcelona, since they are on the hunt for a younger striker who would secure the frontline for the foreseeable future.
Griezmann’s continuity with the Catalans always seems to be under scrutiny, but many believe that now is the Frenchman’s final shot at redemption. He has never been indispensable for Barcelona, which has showed by their numerous attempts to sell him to recoup money and relieve themselves of his hefty wage.
With Messi’s departure, Griezmann has no other option but to shine through as the star of this new-look Barcelona side. Juventus are meanwhile, interested in Moise Kean to replace Ronaldo, who suddenly looks close to a departure.
Manchester City are in talks with the Portuguese superstar, but Juventus are unwilling to let Ronaldo go below a price of 28 million euros.
City have been in dire need of a striker with Gabriel Jesus not favoured entirely and with Sergio Aguero’s move to Barcelona. If Ronaldo were to actually make the move, which his agent Jorge Mendes is pushing vigorously for, this window will go down in history.
