Former Chelsea star, Frank Leboeuf, has predicted the Blues to finish in the third position on the Premier League table this season.
He also warned Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, that his team faces being left in ‘no man’s land’ in the Premier League title race if he fails to arrest their worrying slide.
According to him, Tuchel must ‘find a solution’ amid their recent decline or risk being left behind in the third position.
Chelsea dropped two points on Thursday night following their 1-1 draw with Everton.
Tuchel’s men now sit in the third position on the log with three points behind Liverpool and four points behind leaders Manchester City.
“We are going to know very soon whether it’s a two-horse race or a three-horse race because Chelsea plays Liverpool and Manchester City at the beginning of next year,’ the Frenchman told ESPN FC.
“But we have to be realistic right now, the way they [Chelsea] play compared to Manchester City – because I think even Liverpool are struggling as well – there is no way they can cope with Manchester City right now.
“They have to change something, they have to have those men, the fit guys coming back very, very soon and they have to find solutions.
“Otherwise, they are going to be in no man’s land. They are much better than West Ham and Manchester United, but I think they are not as good as Liverpool and Manchester City.
“So they are going to be on their own, finish third.”
