Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp Has Been Described As “Way Beyond James Bond” By Daniel Craig

The 007 actor is a Liverpool fan from the Wirral and has shared his admiration for the German coach.

Currently promoting No Time to Die, his final film as James Bond after 15 years, he was asked by Reds legend Jamie Carragher if Klopp could possibly take over the role.

“Do you think Jurgen Klopp would make a good James Bond?” the ex-Liverpool defender asked.

“I mean I worship him, so yes,” Craig told Sky Sports .

“I’ve been lucky enough to meet him a couple of times and you just want to follow him. There’s a couple of people I’ve met over the years like that.

“The other one is Alex Ferguson actually, but I shouldn’t really mention him!

“He’s a leader. So I think he’s kind of way beyond James Bond really.”

The actor met his hero and the rest of the Liverpool squad in New Jersey back in 2018, after the Reds had won 2-1 against Manchester City in the International Champions Cup.

Born in Chester in 1968, Craig took photos with the then-current stars of Jurgen Klopp’s team, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane among them.
