Timo Werner is one of the most coveted forwards of the next transfer window. However, RB Leipzig sporting director, Markus Krosche, denied that there have been any offers that have come in for the player.
Various teams want Timo Werner ahead of next season. But for now, RB Leipzig haven’t received any offers, according to Markus Krosche.
The RB Leipzig sporting director denied that he has received any offers for the German international. “There have been no conversations and Timo didn’t contact us either,” he said in a telematic meeting with journalists.
“These are rumours that have been going around for weeks, but for the moment there is nothing new,” Krosche confirmed with reports linking Werner to other teams.
Big teams such as Liverpool and Barcelona have the German on their agenda. In fact, Barca have him as a plan B, in case Lautaro Martínez doesn’t come.
But Krosche didn’t just speak about the German interantional. The RB Leipzig sporting director explained that “it will be a different transfer window” due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Everything will depend on whether the European leagues and competitions can be played to the end, because that means a lot of revenue,” added the German team’s sporting director.
Meanwhile, the Bundesliga is preparing to return. The German competition will have to wait for confirmation from the government to start again on 9th May.
