Tottenham Are Set To Return To Action This Coming Sunday Against Leeds United As Heung-Min Son Injury Update Has Emerged

The game will be Antonio Conte’s third in charge of the Lilywhites, with his first a win over Vitesse and his second a drab 0-0 draw with Everton which saw Spurs fail to register a single shot on target.

The Italian, though, will be hoping for a much more positive display this weekend when they take on a Leeds side who have, so far, failed to reach the heights of their impressive 2020/21 campaign.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will head into the weekend’s action down in 15th having won just twice all season whilst also shipping 18 goals in 11 outings.

As for Tottenham, they are currently 9th in the Premier League but could move up to 6th with a win this weekend.

Heung-min Son latest

Ahead of the game on Sunday, a fresh Heung-min Son injury update has emerged.

Son is currently on international duty with South Korea and started in their win of the UAE last Thursday.

However, it then emerged that Son did not train with South Korea on Saturday due to knock:

Now, a fresh update on Son has emerged via’s Alasdair Gold, who seemed to suggest Son could play some role in South Korea’s next game vs Iraq on Tuesday, which would, of course, seemingly mean he would be fine to feature vs Leeds at the weekend.

On Son, Gold stated:

“Son picked up a little knock which meant he missed training but he’s doing interviews ahead of South Korea’s game against Iraq which suggests he’ll be taking part.

“He told the Korean media yesterday: ‘Nothing serious. I had a knock. I wanted to join the training, but I tried to be careful (because of the knock)’.”
